![]() ![]() find places to post your work for feedback, you can do so here but as you've noticed, there's a lot of cranky people here lol. so if you go the youtube route, keep this in mind. this in my opinion is what makes a traditional classroom setting invaluable. you should try and consistently take inventory on your strengths and weaknesses and i think that will be hard when you're doing everything by yourself. it helps to have a more experienced and refined eye looking at your work and pointing out/critiquing what can be done better. when you're learning (which in reality, is the entire time you're a practicing designer) you will always think your design is good as is. If one part of your family lives in a place where Uni is free that’s probably worth a move. Maybe you can even get an internship position and a mentor after a while. Getting a grunt job at some design agency is probably the best way to learn though. Browse through their magazines and books and travel through a graphical design journey spanning from the 1800s or sometimes even earlier to today. Librarians are usually so knowledgeable and helpful too. ![]() Libraries are amazing and you can read however much you want from amazing books that usually cost a pretty penny. If it’s not there I can have it shipped there for free. My local library has a digital database so you can browse what’s available beforehand. I would also visit your local library and ask what they’ve got on graphic design.
